Legal status Routes ? Phacetoperane Levofacetoperane is a stimulant drug.1 It is the reverse ester of the well known stimulant drug methylphenidate, which is used as a treatment for ADHD. The reverse esters of many drugs which contain an ester group in their structure such as pethidine and cocaine, show similar activity to the parent compound.2 Phacetoperane was researched for similar applications to methylphenidate, but was never marketed. The levo-isomer Levophacetoperane seems to have been more researched, but presumably the dextro isomer or racemic mix are also known.3 Tablets This pharmacology-related article is a stub.
