In early 2005, the band relocated to Melbourne. Later that year, the band signed a five album record deal with Capitol Records and have since supported Mötley Crüe, Motörhead and The Rolling Stones, as well as playing in several summer music festivals. Their first album, titled Runnin' Wild, was released in Australia on 23 June, 2007. So far, three singles have been released from the album, Runnin' Wild, Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast and Diamond In The Rough. On February 19, 2007, Capitol Records cancelled their record contract with Airbourne, but the album was still released in Australia through EMI. The band has now signed with Roadrunner Records for distribution throughout the rest of the world. Amongst all the overseas hype Airbourne still fails to be played on any of the major Australian Radio networks. Airbourne's music has also been featured in several video games, such as Madden 08 and NHL 08. According to Gamesindustry.biz, the band's music is also featured in Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, Need for Speed: ProStreet, Skate, NFL Tour, Burnout Paradise , NASCAR 08 and NASCAR 09. The song Runnin' Wild was also featured in a commercial for the console game Battlefield: Bad Company.1 Runnin' Wild was also featured on Madden NFL 08. One of their songs, Stand Up For Rock and Roll, was the official theme song for WWE's Royal Rumble 2008.2 They also perform Mr. Kennedy's entrance theme Turn Up The Trouble for WWE. Their song Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast is also the official theme song of NASCAR 09. The song Stand Up For Rock and Roll appears in the movie Bring It On: In It to Win It as well as Madden NFL 09 and NASCAR 08. Airbourne's Runnin' Wild is featured as a downloadable song for EA/Harmonix's Rock Band. Airbourne's Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast will be featured in Guitar Hero World Tour. Since the release of Runnin' Wild, Airbourne have had much success in Europe and America, with slots at Download Festival 2008, Wacken and Mayhem festival in the USA.
